Hey, I’m Calvin Parker, and I’ve been ocean fishing out of Cambell River for over 40 years.
I’ve been a salmon fishing guide for a number of years now and have a good understanding of the waters here and where the best place to go is. We also have top of the line gear to give you the best experience possible.
Meet Calvin, Your Guide
Calvin Parker is a 3rd generation fisherman who has had a passion for fishing from a young age. At 14, Calvin began guiding at the world-famous Dolphin’s Resort, where he still works as a contract guide today.
Calvin provides his guests with an exciting, memorable & safe West Coast experience through the enthusiastic eyes of a local with decades of experience. Enjoy world-class fishing while relaxing in the beauty & serenity of Campbell River’s local waters with someone who treats you like family.
Calvin is a member of the Campbell River Guide’s Association & the Campbell River Chamber of Commerce.

Q: What will I catch?
A: While there are no guarantees, We’ll fish for: Salmon – Chinook (Kings), Coho (Silvers), Sockeye, Chums, and Pinks. Ling Cod, Halibut, Prawns and Dungeness Crabs can also be expected.
Q: What’s the best time of year to fish?
A: Fishing isn’t just a summer sport! Some of the best fishing in British Columbia happens in the Winter.

Q: Will I see wildlife?
A: The Campbell River area is densely saturated with wildlife which gives you a very good chance of spotting bald eagles, sea lions, otters, humpback & orca whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins or even bears!
Q: Is your boat accessible for children & the elderly?
Yes!! Pursuit makes a low profile boat for easy access and a safe comfortable ride.
Q: What qualifications & certifications does our guide have?
SVOP, MEDA3, ROCM.
Q: Can I keep all the fish I catch?
Within possession limits, yes! Your catch will be iced down immediately once back at the dock, and your fish will be professionally cleaned and bagged. If you require further processing, we work closely with a commercial processor within walking distance from our dock
